What To Pack
Less is better! Lahaina is usually hot and sunny. Concentrate on cool fabrics and layering your clothes. Capris, shorts, skirts and sun dresses for the girls. Shorts, board shorts, linen pants for the guys. Of course, tank tops, short sleeved tee shirts, lightweight sweat shirts. You will be in your swimsuit most of the time, so, bring one and buy one in Maui! It is a great souvenir! Don't forget your camera, hat and sunglasses. Convenience stores are located nearby so you can pick up sunlotion when you get your morning paper and fresh pineapple juice! Sandals and flip flops are the only way to go, you could be doing a lot of walking and want to be comfortable and cool.
On The Plane, I always get cold, so, these items can be worn on the plane instead of filling up valuable space in your suitcase. You may need them for a bike ride or a hike up Haleakala...-Long pants, water proof jackets, tennis shoes.
At Night-Most of the restaurants are located outdoors. Fun and casual! No formal jackets or dresses. Just shorts and an aloha shirt for the guys and a sundress and sandals for the girls (maybe a lightweight sweater).Of course, a flower behind her ear is a must! The flower located on the left side means you are married, the same side as your wedding ring!
Upcountry Touring-Can be cool, especially at the top of Haleakala Crater, so wear layers and what you wore on the plane.
P.S.-Film is expensive. Bring what you think you need from the mainland.
P.S.S.-Don't forget that there is a washer and dryer in your Puamana home.
